This monument commemorates the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. It was designed in the style of Ancient Greek architecture. The building is surrounded by 36 columns, one for each state of the Union at the time of Lincoln’s death.

Apart from the monumental statue of Lincoln sitting in contemplation, the interior includes two of his most famous speeches – “Second Inaugural Address” and “The Gettysburg Address”. The speeches are embedded into the walls.
